Program dates: two weeks:
July 10-July 23, 2011, in São Paulo
Our inaugural year of Perspectives Brazil provides an intense exploration and experiential learning experience of Latin America's rising superpower. In two weeks of intensive exposure, students will discover the contrasting realities of Brazil as seen through São Paulo – from the economy, environment, and energy to the city's rich cultural life. Exploring the vast diversity of a nation like Brazil would, of course, take much more than two weeks. Therefore, we have decided to base our program in São Paulo, Brazil's economic capital and a bustling cultural center. In our inaugural year, the curriculum will focus on three subject areas crucial to the future of Brazil and the world – economy, environment, and energy – supplemented by language classes and São Paulo's rich cultural offerings.
